The Year 4 Performance Evaluation was conducted as part of USAID’s Time to Learn (TTL) project.
The purpose of this internal performance evaluation was to better understand community school teacher practice, especially in literacy instruction. This evaluation seeks to answer questions and fill knowledge gaps that emerged from the midline impact evaluation about what is working well and what can be improved in TTL’s intervention areas. The key evaluation questions included:
- What supports and hinders community school teachers in implementing effective early grade literacy instructional practice?
- What kinds of leadership and management activities support community school teachers in teaching early grade literacy?
