Tessie Catsambas to Present at the Eval4Action Europe Consultation

Written by: EnCompass Staff,

Tessie Catsambas, EnCompass’ CEO/CFO, will speak at the next Eval4Action regional consultation for Europe on Wednesday, October 21. This regional consultation is a virtual discussion on the priorities for Europe in its participation in the Eval4Action campaign. Ms. Catsambas has facilitated similar sessions in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and North Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as the Global Launch.

Ms. Catsambas’ role in this consultation is part of EnCompass’ institutional partnership with Eval4Action, a UNFPA campaign that calls for commitments to accelerate achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. She shared her excitement for the campaign and her appreciation for EnCompass’ role:

The Eval4Action campaign focuses evaluation on the most important issues for all people and our planet: the Sustainable Development Goals. It invites us to join together, while working locally, to catalyze the action our political leaders and the United Nations seek to accelerate. I am so proud that we, at EnCompass, are the virtual hosts of the initial regional consultations on Eval4Action.

As an Eval4Action institutional partner, EnCompass is committed to increasing evaluation capacity globally. For example, Our EnCompass Learning Center has partnered with EvalYouth to offer tuition-free spots in several of our courses. We are honored to be a part of the campaign to make evaluation a more inclusive, accessible, and robust practice.

Other speakers at the October 21 consultation are Daniele Lamarque, President of the European Evaluation Society, Vlatko Danilov, Chair of the Network of Evaluation Societies in Europe Advisory Board, Alena Lappo, Chair of EvalYouth Europe, and Eval4Action co-leaders Khalil Bitar of the EvalYouth Global Network and Marco Segone of UNFPA’s Evaluation office.

This week, Eval4Action also launched a commitment drive on Twitter, asking partners to publicly share support for the campaign. Watch for public commitments and participate in the conversation on Twitter by following the hashtag #Eval4Action through October 23.
