Report Redesign Course Description
When you hear the term “dusty shelf report,” what comes to mind? Even if you haven’t heard that term, you’ve seen one: Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced, one-inch margins. Too much narrative and too few visuals. Or, monotonous visuals: mostly bar charts or maps.
Formatting is important, but what matters most is the impact. When was the last time your report actually influenced real-world decisions? Our reports have the potential to drive policy decisions, budgeting decisions, and programmatic decisions—when they are designed well, accessible, and delivered to the right people at the right time.
In this one-module training with Ann K. Emery, you’ll learn techniques for transforming dusty shelf reports into reports that actually inform decisions using software you already have, like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
